Vaishno Devi Yatra- For Religious Trekking

India is a land of devotion, trust and belief. At every turn you can find a temple. No matter in which state or city you are, you will see some of the temples that are associated with different legends. Some of these are even thousands of years old. Exploring these templesissimply amazing but the most interesting part is to know the different legends associated with these temples.

Vaishno Devi Temple is located in Jammu & Kashmir. Every year countless devotees visit the temple to offer the prayers to the deity and get the blessings.MaaVaishno Devi is the prime deity in this temple. Devotees need to trek for around 13 Kms. to reach this holy shrine. The trek starts from the base camp called Katra.  For those who cannot or do not wish to trek, there are many other options available.  Devotees can choose amongst helicopter Yatra, palki or horses.

First place where devotees halt is Baan Ganga. It is believed that one should start the Yatra after taking the bath here. Next halt during Vaishno Devi Yatra is ArdhKumari. It has another story and believes. A belief says one should visit the cave before heading towards the main shrine. Before entering the main shrine, devotees take a bath to shed off their fatigue as well as to clean themselves before entering the shrine. After offering prayers to the Deity in the main cave, devotees head towards BhairavNath Temple. It is believed that the Yatra remains incomplete if you do not visit BhairavNath Temple. After this, devotees return to Katra. Clubbed with countless legends, the trek brings adventures and devotees together for a unique experience.
